Song 3

Version 1

Such a complicated question, ‘Is everything ok?’
I did nothing to make you feel this way
You erase your guilt by offering out your hand
But hold no intentions to ever understand

Your smile can’t hide the sadness in your eyes
But no words of mine make up for lies
Maybe I’ll float away please don’t just watch me go
If I could trade my place I know I’d give you all

His head begs him to let her know
But his heart’s been through it all before
I’ll hold my breath until you hold my hand
I’ll surely drown before you understand

All we do is exist
I need something to believe in
I find you in the space between darkness and daylight
Without you around the world gets a little quiet

Version 2

In love with all my thoughts which have never left my mind
I find you in the space between darkness and daylight
Without you around the world gets a little quiet

His head begs him to let her know
But his heart’s been through it all before
I’ll hold my breath until you hold my hand
I’ll surely drown before you understand

Don’t you see?

[Chorus]
All we do is exist
I need something to believe in
What if love were enough
You’d still be here and I’d still be breathing
How far we’ve come: how far we’ve gone

Song 2 Lyrics

Version 1

We’re all to blame
But we pass the flame around
You can’t see what I don’t say

Is this how it is?
They told me all you need is time Time promises to make pain pass
To come can take the pain away Kiss me hard enough to make it last

Where are you?
Remember once a man I knew
Who spoke of honesty in truth

I am hoping
To be washed away by winter winds
And find you waiting at the end

I see it all now…

You don’t smile as hard as you did with her
Do we accept the love we think we deserve?
This is nothing like the place I left
The world pulls me away – I’m restless

Lay me down to rest.
Teach me how to be alone without being lonely
You don’t understand for the future I worry

His head begs him to let her know
But his heart’s been through it all before
I’ll hold my breath until you hold my hand
I’ll surely drown before you understand

I can see the sadness in your eyes
But no words of mine make up for lies
And if I float away don’t watch me go
If I could trade my place I’d give you all

Song 1 Lyrics

Version 1

I saw him there in a crowded bar
Drinking whisky, there was a lone guitar
I held out my hand as he sat me down
The world went quiet as my fears drowned
He looked into my eyes like he recognised my soul
No words were spoken but I felt like I was whole
See I left my heart behind, feels a lifetime ago
But he picked up all the pieces with a power he couldn’t know

So be my king
And I’ll be your queen
My love is empty
After all I’ve seen

He said ‘seduce my mind and you can have you can have my body…
But find my soul and I’m yours forever’

Maybe we never did belong, you’ll end up back where you came from
